The black stripes of a zebra mimic shadows in the natural landscape and allow for camouflage. This artwork is just another interpretation on the idea of camouflage. This zebra was drawn in the Selous National Park in Tanzania.

I love old navigational maps. I wanted to get across the perils early explorers faced when they set off for unfamiliar lands. This Western Diamondback rattlesnake patiently let me draw it.
