The idea of getting outside of yourself, as seen with the patterns & colors related to, but outside of the subject suggests you don’t have to leave your seat to go places. I made the drawing of this giraffe while in Tanzania.

I love old navigational maps. I wanted to get across the perils early explorers faced when they set off for unfamiliar lands. This Western Diamondback rattlesnake patiently let me draw it.
